Go ahead browser, make my day...

This command (I use OS X) takes the patches in my mercurial queue (which I tend to name bug-#) and opens a browser tab for each.

hg qseries | sed 's/bug-/https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=/' | xargs open

There's probably 94 better ways to do that but meh, and barely blog worthy perhaps... but this way I'll have a record of the command for when I forget. And smart people can add comments showing me better ways :)

I guess having FF restore my session is a good one.

OS X?

How does "hating freedom"(tm) feel like?

@Tom I hear you. I'm a GNU/Linux user at heart, but my master plan involves some intermediate dancing with the unenlightened. Changing the world takes time.

Tom, it's a decent operating system, and it's basically just GNU/XNU anyways, from CUPS to OpenGL to POSIX..

As things stand, I'd not argue that much if a person claimed that OSX was currently the best desktop operating system.

Once we have integrated Clutter, OpenCL, an X11 successor, and fixed PulseAudio up, we'll be on par. Right now, well, Ubuntu runs on non-Apple hardware and it doesn't cost anything.

So we don't run out of slashes:

's#bug-#https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=#'

@Ryan, nice 1 thanks.

@David:
No worries .. anything that reduces MS market share and forces people to think X-platform is excused (_for now_ ;)

@Ethan:
I think a X11 successor is not needed. Just Gallium3D/OpenGL/KMS/Vsync everywhere .. but Keith, Zack and all the Gfx hackers will prolly get there on Intel, AMD and VIA by the end of next year (long time .. but 23 months more or less .. WHO CARES?).

But the great thing about FOSS is that once you are on par you really are far ahead .. just think about it ;)

@Tom: X -> wayland (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=xorg_wayland) will be good move.

Tom, to answer your question I switched to OSX this summer after being a Linux user for 12 years and it feels GREAT. Most importantly, I can update my OS (not the kernel; the actual OS; the equivalent of a distro upgrade on Linux) without the world breaking.

I have not much time to visit many websites. But today I found this site accidently. I explored much information which is useful to my life. Thanks! Casino Sbobet
